3 very long weeks…

I’m not so much looking forward to the next 3 weeks…mostly because my new favorite shows air on Fox and the Baseball playoffs will be shown instead. I understand like 100 trillion people will probably watch the playoffs, but come on kids, I need my shows. Taking away my shows one month into the new season is like giving me a diamond ring that doesn’t fit, so it has to go to the jewelers and be fitted and won’t be ready for 3 weeks. I lose sleep over this kinda stuff.

For the next 3 weeks, I will play scenario after scenario in my head about how Fish plans to execute his break from prison now that his escape plans have been discovered by other inmates. And what about House? I just now got into the show (took Scott’s Blogging to catch my interest) and now I’m forced to wait even longer. This is worse than having to wait all summer for Nip/Tuck Season 2 to be released on DVD. At least with Nip/Tuck, we got to stay in all weekend and watch 12 of 13 shows in two days, so I got more than my fill of it :) I’m fairly certain I gained at least 5 lbs that weekend.

I know, you’re thinking I’m addicted to TV, and I probably am. But, with working from home and having a husband in graduate school for Clinical Psychology, I’ve got a lot of time on my hands after hours. I don’t waste time getting all dolled up for work, I don’t have long commutes to anywhere, and I have until 8:00pm to find something to do until Craig comes home (thats 10:00 pm on Tuesdays, thanks to Stupa-vision). Plus, its my time to bond with the babies (Howie and Janey, see previous post).

Ah well, guess I’ll get over it, huh?

  1. Havent I already told you that you no longer have naming/renaming priviledges. Seeing as how I am the only one who has yet to name a family cat, I am the only one with the right and priviledge to name or rename the cats should a situation require it. Henceforth, I deny the change to Rascal’s renaming. Therefore, he will be known as his original legal name, Rascal.

  2. Nice try, Private! Don’t make me call one of the Drill Sgt’s to Smoke You!

When we so kindly took Rascal into our home, we assumed all responsibilities for him, including cleaning up his puke, Little Green Machining his pee from behind both televisions, and spending lots of money on him to keep him well nurished. Our kindness thus allows us to make whatever name changes we feel are necessary. And, Craig is starting to come around. In fact, Craig also has a new name “Big Brother.” In return, he affectionately refers to me as “Busto.” Essentially, our home has turned into Big Brother 6, just with no big $500,000 prize at the end.

Sorry, bud. The names stick :)

  3. “When we so kindly took Rascal into our home…”

I don’t think Catnapping is kindly taking him in.

  4. Catnapping? You weren’t even there- mom was practically standing at the door getting ready to drop kick Rascal right into the cul-da-sac when I swooped in and rescued him!

He is forever grateful to me, he just needs to find better, less smelly ways of showing me his appreciation.
