Weekly Recap

Had a good week and a nice weekend. The Menu Plan Monday worked out fabulously for us. What a nice change to come home and already know what I was going to make. And, I had all of the ingredients I needed!

I stuck to the menu and we enjoyed a nice week of home cooking.

I would recap more of the weekend, but I don’t remember it. Isn’t that terrible? I remember sleeping; thats about it! Lydia and I are forming a club…if you can’t remember a damn thing, you can join us!

A highlight from the week that I do remember is coming home for lunch one day with Hubs and watching American Gladiator. If you haven’t yet seen the new series, I just feel sorry for you. It’s HILARIOUS!! It’s so cheezy. My favorite gladiator by far is Wolf or maybe Hellga. Guess what Wolf does when the Hulk announces him as the competing gladiator? You guessed it! He howls! A 300 lb hairy man yelps like a wolf in some terribly failed attempt to sound mean.

Hubs discovered that the best way to enjoy American Gladiator is in slow motion. There’s nothing quite like watching athletes continually failling at the Travelator…IN SLOW MOTION!

Alright, back to what I do best. Watch TV while Hubs cleans up from dinner.

  1. You just lost cool points by saying that Wolf is your favorite! Patrick and I have decided he’s the illegitimate child of Gary Busey. Also, he weighs nothing close to 300 pounds…that’s Justice (he scares the crap out of me). Patrick was very excited that they kept Assault. I wish they would have kept the one where they roll around in those big hamster balls :) I like the Pyramid, especially when the Gladiator and Contender go tumbling down that thing. It’s awesome!
