Menu Planning

I’ve been a slacker when it comes to Menu Planning lately. I blame it on traveling. It seems like anytime I travel, it takes me longer to readjust and get back into the swing of things. My trip to Connecticut last month set me back. I’ve not really done any Menu Planning since then.

Which sucks b/c menu planning really makes my week go easier. I just haven’t had the discipline to sit down and devote the time to plan and then create the accompanying grocery list.

This will be a hectic week for Hubs and I. With today being a holiday, I’ve spent the day running errands. Dropped Coop off at Camp this morning (which went really, really well) then hit some stores in search of Cruise clothes. Found some bottoms and a few tops. Picked up Hubs at work (he had to work 1/2 day) and met up with Jennie and Ben for lunch. They met with an accountant this morning and they highly recommend her. Last year we had a college friend prepare our taxes, but I feel badly b/c she wouldn’t let us pay her for her time. We’ll probably use this gal this year (I doubt Erin will cry over not having to do another set of taxes!). So we’ll probably call Stacy later this week before we leave on vacation (although we can’t do anything until we get the cost basis for some stocks that were cashed out).

After lunch, we came home. Hubs is getting some work done and I’m working around the house. Set stuff aside for packing later this week, steam cleaned the carpet and then vacuumed, then cleaned the master bathroom. There’s a lady coming tonight to give us an estimate on cleaning our house once/month. Yea. I had to clean before the cleaning lady came over.

I hope she’s reasonably priced. Between Cooper Camp and the cleaning lady, we’ll be making some sacrifices so we can enjoy those luxuries.

Soldier left today. He’s heading back to Iraq. I wouldn’t say he’s excited to get back, but he’s looking forward to it. He said several times last night, “I hope nothing cool happened while I was gone!” We’re really proud of him. He’s working hard and doing well.

Alright, time to go pick up the Doopers! We’ve been watching him on the web cam for the last few hours. Looks like he had a great time hanging out with the other campers!

  1. I missed your menu!

Have a great trip! You can pick up where you left off when you get back.

By the way, I have been taking Vitamin D for three weeks now and I feel so much better! So glad I found you!

    It must have been fate…..
