Earthquake
At 4:40am, we lived through an earthquake.
It was a 5.4 magnitude and I’m freaked out.
I’m not kidding.
UPDATE: Apparently the center of the quake was around the IL side of the IL/Indiana border. 5.4 preliminary magnitude.
UPDATE: 10:33am 4.5 magnitude aftershock just came through. I was walking in the hallway at work when it happened. I felt something, almost like the Air Conditioner just kicked it and the ground rumbled because of it. Kinda feels like I do after being on a cruise for a week. The first day back on solid ground take some adjusting to, sometimes you feel like you’re still swaying- thats what it feels like now.
Video from an Evansville news station that was on the air when the earthquake happened.

The blogs are hoping this morning!

I’ve gotten quite a few comments already, and posted a lot of info.

I’ve got a link to the USGS map on my blog, if you haven’t seen that.
I totally didn’t feel anything. My co-worker did.

I wondered if you guys felt it. But on my way to work they interviewed a guy from St. Louis County, IL and he was jolted by it so I figured you guys surely felt it. It was felt in Milwaukee and Des Moines.
Bet that got your attention!

Yikes! They are scary huh? I felt a small one, when I lived in LA, & it freaked me out. D, being from Cali, loves earthquakes. He’s a weirdo!

I wondered how hard it had it y’all. Any damage (other than psychological)?
Bob said it woke him up down here; I was asleep after an exhausting day, and didn’t notice it. Max did wake up acting weird earlier in the night, so I wondered if he sensed something. Then again, he’s always weird.
Did not realize you and Stephanie were roomies. Makes sense, though. Two of the other girls in that post were from TU as well — Katie and Mary Beth Corcoran.
Glad you’re ok. Take some time to rest this weekend!
