In other news…
I’ve decided to rename our kitties.
First- some history. We have two cats, Kitty O’Shea (aka “Shea”) and Rascal (”Rascal” or aka “Shitter McGee”). Shea was originally named after a bar in Lexington, KY and Rascal was my parents cat who we adopted, so we didn’t really have a say in his original naming.
Due to my addiction to Big Brother 6 this season, I feel compelled to have the memories of Howie and Janelle (aka “Janey”) live on- so, as such, I’ve renamed Shea and Rascal to Janey and Howie (respectively).
Fortunately, both kids have accepted their new names, and have actually begun to alter their identities to reflect their new personalities. Unfortunately, Craig is pissed that I would rename our babies. I told Craig that if either of them begin to show signs of multiple personalities (or what the Psychological Elite refer to as D.I.D- Disassociative Identity Disorder), I promise I’ll schedule them appointments with Kay Cox. She looks like a real gem.

First of all, you have way too much time on your hands - especially at night - if you’re staying up watching all these various shows. But, that’s my Donut!
And, renaming your kitties. As you know, I am not a cat person, but renaming a pet (you got that from your Uncle Nick) is cruel - even for a cat. But, if you insist on doing it, get it out of your system before you have any kids. I’d hate to have to relearn the names of my great nieces and/or great nephews when they get to be 9 years old! I don’t deal well with change.

HAHA! Well, we don’t actually watch all of these shows at night. We have TiVo and a dual-tuner DVR which allows us to record up to 3 different shows on different channels at one time
SO, we TiVo a lot of shows and watch them later. We use the weekends to catch up because there just aren’t enough hours during the week!
I *promise* not to rename our kids like I did our kitties. The cats are open to things like this, I doubt kids would be! Although, lil Mac (aka “kitten” IRONICALLY) has gone through several name changes. She was Katie, then Stink, then KLeigh, then Jaguar, then Katie Mac, and the list goes on! Funny that the niece you would nick name “kitten” is the one that would go through numerous names in her youth
Coincidence, I think not!

Yes, but to me she’ll always be “Kitten” ~ much to Uncle Nick’s chagrin. …and has been for 18 years. Just like Peaches, Donut & Scooter.

Do you think she does makeovers too? I like her style. With her dreamy looks and unparalleled skills at communicating with animals, she deserves her own talk show.
On the other hand, I guess that it would be too much like combining Dr. Phil and the Crocodile Hunter, huh? Krikee!!!!

Rename Rascal whatever you want…he’ll always be Miltie to me.
Since his new name is Howie, will you sometimes refer to him as “Hurricane Howie” a la Howie’s self-proclaimed nickname for himself during the BB season?

Absolutely! I no doubt expect that “Hurricane Howie” will roll through the ‘partment every now and then.
That’s part of the glamour of renaming him, the nick name possibilities are endless.
“Hurricane Howie” will teach “Jedi Janey” a lot about the ways of the Force. They practice their skills many times a day. It’s very entertaining.
