DC and Bumper Stickers

The ‘rents are in DC right now- actually they’ve been there all week and are leaving tomorrow for a trip up the New England coast on vacation. Anyway, my mom called me the other day to let me know that if Martha (my BFF) wants anything from DC, just to let her know. I thought the call was very strange….why would Martha want/need anything from DC? Then my mom proceeds to tell me about all of this presidential stuff she’s bought for me….then she said she saw several things Martha would like (Martha and I are the only two Republicans that I know. OK, maybe not, but since she’s one of the few Elephants I hang with, my mom thought she might want some stuff from DC).

Can’t wait for them to get back- The Mothership bought me some political bumper stickers…she wouldn’t read all of them to me, but she offered up one: “Working is too hard. Vote Democrat!” HAHA!

As soon as I get them in hand, you know I’ll post ‘em! I’m very interested to see the fan response……I’m unsure where some of the new blog fans stand politically….or if they’ll even comment and reveal to all.

I love this stuff.

“I’m a Republican”

I just now watched last week’s season premiere of Desperate Housewives. I feel like it’s getting back to it’s roots with the great one liners (which I felt were lacking nearly all of last season).

My favorite quote from this episode is when Bree and Orson are “messing around” and Orson becomes a little experimental (I’m trying to keep it clean, this is a PG-13 blog) and Bree stops Orson:

Bree: “Stop! You can’t do that!”
Orson: “Why not?”
Bree: “Because I’m a Republican!”

HAHA! I almost cried I was laughing so much. There were several other very good one liners, but nothing nearly as funny as this one.
